I still haven't checked it out.
You should def check it out, it's a lot better than I expected. And to say they went Big with the Bad Guys right out of the gate, is an understatement.

120 Days with the MixPre-6

I will keep this short. PROS • The pre-amps really are that-damn-good. It's rare to my untrained ears that I can hear a real difference between pre-amps, but as soon as I plugged my various mics into the MP-6 I noticed the quality instantly. • The analogue limiters are both functional and also have ...

Re: For DBX286s users - what are your settings?

I generally run my dbx with about +45 of gain, compressor drive and density at about 4.5. De esser is of and LF at 7 and hf at 2.5. Expander -30 and 5;1. The Lf and hf vary depending on mic - but those are my baseline settings for my BP40 Thanks Stephen. I think I need to play a little more with th...

Re: Anyone want to co-host a Krypton Podcast?

I'd love to if only there were time. My wife would kill me if I added another regular podcast. I'd be open to guesting though! What a great surprise Krypton was! Much better than I was expecting. Agreed! The overall quality and in particular the pacing of the show were well beyond what I expected. ...

Anyone want to co-host a Krypton Podcast?

Hi All, Is there anyone here that might want to co-host a Krypton podcast? Starting with a re-cap of Season 1 leading into Season 2 (which has already been renewed). Happy to do the editing and hosting etc. - just need someone open to working with someone in Australia, so recording times might end u...

For DBX286s users - what are your settings?

Hi all, I have been using a DBX286s for several years as a straight pre-amp and light gate, and have never really used the compressor, low/high detail or the DeEsser controls, but am thinking I might start using more of the features more often. What are your settings currently and which mic are you ...

I've stayed w/ my main host (Libsyn) mostly because I like the people who work there.

Hey guys, After just watching a less than satisfying exchange between one-of-our-own and a Podcast Hosting Boss on Twitter. I started thinking about why I've stayed stayed loyal to Libsyn for the past 7years. And it's not entirely due to their quality hosting and services, it's also because they hav...

Re: Local Podcasting and Breaking Up Segments for Release as min-episodes

Another option is to use mp3 chapters and just make it easy for listeners to get to the segments. We use Forecast (mac only) but Auphonic can do it too. We also make sure to include timecodes in our show notes as some podcast apps let you tap a time to jump to it. That is a great idea. I'm a Mac us...

Re: Local Podcasting and Breaking Up Segments for Release as min-episodes

I'd release each segment in their own feed in addition to the full episode's feed. If someone's only interested in music, they can just get the music feed, etc. I'm doing that with an "interview" feed. It has the full episodes, but all of our interview shows are in that feed. I don't really push it...

Local Podcasting and Breaking Up Segments for Release as min-episodes

Hey All, would really appreciate your feedback on the following. A little background first though. I've been building out a variety show for my local region here in Australia for the past 3-4months. ( our local area has lots of strange historical moments, odd news stories and an above average number...
