Re: How Do You Record Your Podcast?

We use Discord instead of Skype to record and allow our Patreon supporters to chat and listen in. We use Zencastr for the actual recording with backups from myself and another host using Audio Hijack. We also use a bot in Discord called Craig that records in there as an extra backup. It's saved us ...

Re: Catch Up Episode Publishing Schedule

I would do it twice a week to catch up, but include a brief episode explaining what is happening. Just spread out the episodes by a few days so the listeners aren't overwhelmed. Instead of a brief episode I think I'll add a little post credit explanation but only keep the publishing to twice a week...

No. 1 is what I would do.
I think that's the way I'm going to go with one of my shows and see what happens over time. It seems best for that show.

Thanks for your input Zach!

Catch Up Episode Publishing Schedule

So life has a habit of getting in the way and sometimes editing and post production activities takes longer than my routine recording schedule and from time to time I've ended up with a few episodes "in the can" so to speak while I have gone a week or two or three without publishing an episode. My s...

Re: In the field

Also can I use 80's pop music on my show?? Welcome to the site! Unfortunately you cannot use 80's pop music on your podcast legally. If someone challenges you via a DCMA take-down either your podcast media host will be forced to remove your episode or the songs rights owners will be in contact with...

How Do You Record Your Podcast?

There’s probably as many ways to record your podcast as there are podcasts. We’ve all found our preferred method that works for us but every once in a while I wonder if there is a better way for me so I’d like to ask everyone how do you record your show? What microphone(s) do you use? Are they USB o...

Re: What industry notable equipment do you personally not care for?

I’ve seen and heard many people recommend semi-open or open over the ear headphones like the AKG K240. However, in my experience they allow too much ambient sound in making it impossible to properly isolate monitoring audio. They also allow audio contamination if used while recording and there is a ...

ID3 Tags On iOS

So I happen to be on the road and want to edit some ID3 tags on a file in Dropbox on my iOS device. Does anyone have an app recommendation that could do that function?

Re: Magix Movie Edit Pro: A good choice?

I think Stephen is testing out that version right now. He’s liked it so far but can see where they made improvements in the next version. I think it would be a great buy at that price.

Re: Magix Movie Edit Pro: A good choice?

I’m not sure of the specific version you are looking at but overall Magix is a solid professional-like package. I use Movie Studio Platinum 14.0 and it hasn’t failed me yet.
